The site has a prominent location in the blue green network at the territorial scale of Brugge. It represents a major open space in the North West quarter (delimitedby the canal Gent-Oostende and Boudewijnkannal)
within the radial structure of the city.
The site is situated next to Sint Pietersplas, a recreational spot,equipped for different sport activities such as nautical sports.
Op den Dijk project foresees a very low energy housing development taking in account ecological issues at the level of neighbourhood.
